Fly Anakin teams up with Madlib for new single “No Dough.”

Fly Anakin is a rapper from Richmond, Virginia, who’s been described by Madlib as “one of the illest MCs”. He’s previously collaborated with Freddie Gibbs and is co-founder of the Richmond rap collective Mutant Academy.
“Fly Anakin is a marvel to behold, the kind of lightning-in-a-bottle technician who makes you drop what you’re doing to better absorb his enunciation, syllable placement, and superhuman breath control.” Pitchfork
‘FlySiifu’s’, his 2020 collab album with alt hip-hop lynchpin Pink Siifu, featured Liv.e, Fousheé, $ilkMoney, & production by Madlib, Jay Versace & Ohbliv, and was critically acclaimed in Pitchfork, FADER, KCRW, NPR and Hypebeast. Follow-up EP ‘$mokebreak’ featured Fousheé, MAVI, ZelooperZ & Chuck Strangers, with production from Black Noi$e, Budgie, and was lauded in FADER, SPIN, The Wire, Stereogum & XXL.
The start of the song rings in that classic boom bap feel that we expect from a Madlib produced track. Combine that with Fly Anakin’s stellar vocal delivery and flows, this song is untouchable. His cadence throughout the entire song is unmatchable, bringing a heavy hitting delivery with a strong lyrical approach. The short but sweet track is a perfect add to any hip hop playlist. I can’t get enough of it.
