Simon D. James charms the world with his newest single titled “Dearest Lovely World.” This enchanting songs drags listeners in, the first two lines of verse are beautiful and subtle and then the chorus comes in quickly to captivate the audience further. The production of the song is wonderful, the delivery of the vocal was perfect, and the songwriting is remarkable. It reminds us of a modern version of Paul Simon’s songwriting style as well. You can stream the song on Spotify:
Simon D. James has traveled the world and has went out busking on streets and trains frequently to gain more fans and it has worked well for him. He also graciously volunteered in refugee camps in the Calais Jungle. He says this about his experience there: “…regardless of color or creed we are all bound together by the common threads of love, loss and the need to find community in an ever more fractured world.” This experience inspired him to write “Dearest Lovely World.” He actually wrote the song at a refugee camp.
We look forward to hearing a full album of music from Simon in the near future.
