The Sea Girls are an English indie rock band who have accrued a worldwide following with their clever lyricism and catchy pop punk sound. 2019 has been a big year for the Sea Girls. Earlier this year they signed with Polydor Records (who also represent popular artists including Billie Eilish and the 1975) and have since then been releasing back to back hit tracks including their newest single “Violet”. It seems that nothing will stop this group’s upward trajectory.
“Violet” is an extremely catchy synth driven pop punk anthem about falling in love. Their lead vocalist is particularly excited about this track…
“If our other tracks are the shade, then Violet is definitely the light. There is no tortured soul here, just a boy who avoided the inevitable for years, suddenly realizes, and throws himself wholeheartedly to someone who’s made for him. Put your face in a sink of ice cold water and that’s how it makes me feel.” – Henry Camamile (Sea Girls vocalist)
It’s an anthem about shooting your shot and being honest about your feelings. This is a very on brand sentiment for 2019. You’ll definitely want to add “Violet” to you summer pop playlist.

Band Members (left to right): Oli Khan (drums) , Andrew Dawson (bass), Henry Camamile (vocals/guitar), and Rory Young (guitar).
