James Blake’s latest release is… Loading. The song “Loading” doesn’t shy away from the experimental nature of James Blake’s other works. This song includes vocal edits involving changing pitch to take the listener on another incredible journey through production and songwriting. The song starts off in an ethereal way before diving into a catchy beat around the 45 second mark. The track also includes a rhythmic percussion section which is quite danceable, even with in contrast with the slow moving synth lines. His other recent release “Big Hammer” has similar dance flavors. “Loading” is another masterpiece track from James Blake!
The lyrics repeat, “Where are my wings? They are loading.” This lyric could perhaps be in reference to AI taking over the music industry and the world. Perhaps it’s a prediction about the future of technology and AI.
“Loading” is a taste of what is to come. Jame Blake’s sixth studio LP “Playing Robots Into Heaven Cassette” is expected to drop soon.
