Berlin pop artist Silver Omen has been releasing music since 2024 and has been gaining incredible momentum ever since. With his most recent release, “MESH,” Silver Omen effortlessly proves his Bass House and Electro Pop chops with a deliciously steamy sound guaranteed to activate something in your body. The bass and rhythm invite you in with a seamless and undeniable grip, electrifying its inherently physical edge.
Lose yourself in an elating dance with “MESH” by Silver Omen
As an alum of Berlin’s Eurovision Songwriting Camp, Silver Omen finds ways to blend pop beats with sensual lyrics that make you blush just as much as they get your body to undulate to the beat. Unwittingly and with a natural force you cannot reckon against, the lyrics for the chorus make easy ear candy that every dance floor needs ASAP:
“Come take me over the edge
Piercings caught up in your mesh
I’m so fucked up but so fresh”
“Silver” represents Argentina, named after the Latin word argentum, while “Omen” symbolizes the duality of his themes; Silver Omen is self-described as “sometimes good, sometimes bad, but always shining,” dancing and shining even at the end of the world.
There’s a deeply personal aspect to Silver Omen’s work, often reflecting on his coming-out journey while exploring themes such as sexuality, self-image, and acceptance. “MESH” is one of a celebratory club experience that’s damn near laced with ecstasy, offering another thumping installation to queer club sounds like in his other song “club soldier,” which tells a story of the tension of a club night you don’t want to leave behind to return to a more gray and bleak world by comparison.
Berlin’s historically been a hot bed of queer musical innovation, especially in the electronic scenes. While it’s easy to assume what you’ll get from a certain artist from any given community or region of the world, do yourself a favor and abandon those preconceived notions at the door, save the fact that Silver Omen is easily one of the artists that Berlin should be incredibly proud of for hailing from. “MESH” is yet another iteration of electro pop release, queer liberation through deeply satisfying bass, and elevating vibrations that queer artists bring through their personal revelations of release and reclamation of identity and sexuality.
But don’t just listen to Silver Omen; support the queer and trans people under attack in Berlin.
It wouldn’t be right to write about the incredible artists like Silver Omen or the scenes that gave us songs like “MESH” without acknowledging the hard-fought spaces that LGBTQ+ Berliners have created for dance, connection, liberation, and community. Silver Omen is one of the amazing voices to triumph and defiantly exist in a time where police raids are making horrifying raids on LGBTQ+ spaces like they did nearly a century ago.
Berlin police have recently raided a trans, intersex, and queer health center known as the Casa Kuà, with similar incidents being reported in Taiwan, Turkey, and Australia. There’s been a terrifying attack on LGBTQ+ communities with the rise and return of fascism, including increased media attention attempting to fuel backlash against the very communities that have given life and connection to artists like Silver Omen.
Good news is, you can get involved and protest in solidarity if you’re in Berlin.

Some protest songs come in the form of acoustic guitars and screams against those in power. Some songs are inherently protesting the world we live in by daring to embrace identity, experience, and sexuality the way that “MESH” by Silver Omen does.
