Manukeen’s ‘New Life’ Is Groovy, Clean French Pop Punk

9 13 18 ManukeenManukeen’s ‘New Life’ is groovy, clean pop punk out of France. These guys have a punchy sound whose energy comes in large part from the tension rooted in the sometimes crawling pace. At the same time, the song covers quite a bit of stylistic ground. It’s definitely rooted in pop punk, but there’s also a deeply rhythmic sensibility on here that could possibly be attributed to nu metal or groove metal. There’s also something distinctly French about the group, although it’s hard to put a finger on exactly what leaves that impression. Regardless, if you’re a fan of Pleymo or Chunk! No, Captain Chunk!, these guys are right up your alley. Check out ‘New Life’ below!
