Bitch Falcon’s ‘Prime Numbers’ is a hard-hitting wall of wailing alternative rock out of Dublin. These guys “masterfully capture the full-force energy of their live shows,” they say, “and the result is an all out collision of sound. The aesthetics are raw, even at times frenzied, and the music harnesses the best elements of rock, grunge and pop.” They say that much of their vibe lies with “singer Lizzie Fitzpatrick [who] snarls her way through proceedings with her distinctive, once-heard-not-forgotten voice.” This is certainly true, but it’s hard to understate how powerful the musicianship and production are on here. The bass and drums form a blistering, almost overpowering rumble that functions as the tune’s sonic foundation. On top of that crying, distorted guitar licks imbue the track with a challenging, dialed sonic range achieving an expressive, expansive dynamic. This is an powerful track from a trio going places.
