Boyhood. has released an EP Ipsum. This is the young artists first collection of music to be released under the name boyhood. The tracks are very chill in vibe and have an experimental feel to them. The songs feel very intimate which makes sense because of the recording process. Boyhood. not only writes the music but also self-records, produces and mixes. The bedroom pop/lo-fi style is authentic, boyhood. makes the music magic in his actual bedroom. The lyrics also dive in deep in an intimate way about the aftermath of intense emotions of getting out of a toxic relationship. Boyhood. says “2am is about struggling to reconcile fond and loving memories of an otherwise toxic partner.”
