We had the opportunity to listen to “Clara” by The Tambourine Girls. The song is off of their new 10-track record titled “Waiting For Pleasure.” The song is dreamy pop-rock that has a familiar sound that cannot exactly be pinpointed. There’s tiny elements that are reminiscent to The Beatles, Death Cab For Cutie, and The Smiths but only slightly. The sound is definitely something unique and worth listening to. The hook is the guitar line that is played over and over again. Still, that riff never gets old and is played just enough throughout the song. The vocal delivery is emotional and raw and let’s you feel every single word. You may be crying for “Clara” by the end of the track.

The song is named after singer Simon Relf’s wife and renowned painter, Clara Adolphs.

Here is the single “Clara.”
