Erin Rae’s new song ‘Can’t Cut Loose’ is a quality melancholy folk song that will tug at your heartstrings. Rae’s simple acoustic guitar strumming carries the song from start to finish. The way the guitar chords change in the beginning will make you quickly fall in love with her sound and make you realize that her songwriting is what you have been craving for a long time. Her soaring yet restrained vocals float over the entire piece. Rae’s voice is really well-produced – the effects help it fit perfectly into the mix. She’s the new voice of the south’s indie scene.
