The track is an electro heartbreak anthem, an emotional and stirring pop song about getting over the hurt of a previous relationship and focusing on your own positive mental health. Written by Ian Masterson (who recently wrote Ant & Dec’s hit drag anthem ‘We Werk Together’) and uber pop writer Bright Light Bright Light, ‘Get Better’ solidifies Tia as without doubt the No.1 drag music artist in the UK right now and a LGBTQ+ pop artist to watch in the future.

Tia says: “Get Better is about recovering from a bad place of mental health and healing a broken heart. It’s about trying to believe in yourself again after your confidence has been knocked and someone has damaged you and caused you pain. There is the hope that you can put yourself back together and even find someone new who can help you feel whole again. It’s about someone trying to move on from the damage and find the antidote to that pain. That’s why the song is so important to me, because it reflects my real life.”

The track is taken from Tia’s upcoming second EP release, due out in June this year. Tia’s debut EP ‘Part 1: The Damage’ hit No.1 on the iTunes pop chart and No.3 on the iTunes main chart, spawned 3 Commercial Pop Chart Top 10 hits and has been streamed over 1.3 million times on Spotify.

The song begins with an ethereal instrumental that jumps into an electro pop vibe. We are welcomed by Tia’s soft and clear vocals that ride over this instrumental gently and eloquently. When we get to the chorus, we are swept away by the catchy lyrics and the easy to sing along with vocal melodies. The lyrics of the song make it hit even harder, tackling subjects of mental health and desperately wanting to get better. This song is a certified bop and belongs on all your electro pop playlists!
