Ryan Dilmore will be releasing a full length album sometime this year. The Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter, has released another teaser to follow up his first single release of the year “Half of My Heart.” This new song, called “Love & A Song” is an experimental folky ballad that explodes into something quite cinematic. Starting off slowly, with soft melodic vocals, the song develops into something larger than just an acoustic folk ballad in just two minutes. Our only wish is that the song was a little bit longer. Ryan Dilmore wrote this song in the studio after a good friend of his passed away in early 2017 (see his artist quote below). Fans of Good Old War, Death Cab For Cutie, and John Mayer, will probably love Ryan Dilmore’s gorgeous sound. The singer has also released another new song called “Safe to Say.” After hearing his last three tracks, we are really looking forward to his upcoming album that is due out this Spring. Dilmore has performed at SXSW and CMJ and also produces records for other artists.

“My friend unexpectedly passed away in January, 2017. I got home from the studio that day and all I wanted was to write a song for him. I felt how little (and how much) we leave behind for the people in our lives. I was so glad to have the music we made. I felt how quickly life can move, and asked myself what will I leave behind. Can I leave this planet more beautiful than the way I found it. Recorded in Sun Valley, CA during the fires of 2017.” – Ryan Dilmore
