The Criticals are based in Nashville, Tennessee and formed in 2018. Every song that they release is self-produced and recorded in rural Tennessee where there’s no phone service or distractions. That sounds like a great productive way to write and record music! Their latest song is called “Talk Now” and starts with straight punchy drums that immediately hook the listener in. The song goes on many adventures, shifting to different sections, all with smooth transitions. The chorus comes across as catchy and fun and the vocals stand out compared to other rock bands. “Talk Now” is definitely an indie-rock song that will replay in your head and beg to be heard over and over.

“Talk Now was a song that Cole and I wrote the music in late December after spending the holidays with family. A lot of times, we have 4 or 5 songs going at the same time. We took our work tape to our studio in rural, TN and recorded it in one day in January. We were listening to a lot Jane’s Addiction and LCD Soundsystem.” – Parker Forbes
